What is WORSHIP like at GPC?

The style of corporate worship at Glendale Presbyterian Church is casual and thematic with traditional elements used at appropriate times and seasons.  The entire palate of the arts is utilized to glorify and to enjoy God and to edify His people.  Worship is exciting, expressive, encouraging, creative, and never ever boring! 

Through worship we acknowledge God’s presence, sovereignty, grace, and love.  Our worship flows from our personal relationship with our Creator and Redeemer.  We glorify and enjoy God through worship. We worship with our whole heart, mind, soul, and strength.  Worship involves the whole person; intellect, emotion, and will.

The Word of God (the Bible) takes a central role in our corporate worship.  Why?  Because it is through the Scripture that God clearly reveals Himself and His truth to us.  It is also the means by which we know how God Himself desires to be worshiped. 

The preaching and teaching at GPC are always based on the Bible.  Every effort is made to demonstrate the relevance of God’s Word for today and to present challenging practical applications for every-day life.
