How You Can be Involved in this Ministry

At GPC we value the ministry of every member.  We believe that Christ Himself has called and gifted each person in the church to be a faithful and fruitful member of His body.  Therefore, we want YOU to find a significant place of ministry in Christ's church.

There are many ways that YOU can become involved in ministry at Glendale Presbyterian Church.  Here are a few:

Weekly Worship
The church gathers each Sunday morning at the Chapel (north of DeFuniak Springs) for praise, prayer, and a message from the Word.  You and your family are invited.

Neighbors Being Neighbors
We want to greet people who are new to our neighborhoods with a warm welcome, a gift package containing coupons and information about our community and our church, and an invitation to join with us.  You can participate in this valuable outreach ministry by being GPC's connection to the neighborhood where you live.

Community Outreach
GPC regularly hosts community festivals, seasonal events, and educational seminars.  You are, of course, invited to participate in any or all of these activities.  The truth is that these projects require a lot of work to be effective.  If you would be willing to do more than attend, you can be part of a planning team, work crew, or follow-up team.

Praise Team
Do you sing or play an instrument?  If so you can be part of our Praise Team.  Those who play brass, woodwind, or orchestral string instruments need to be able to read music.  Rhythm section people (guitar, bass, or keyboard) need to be able to play from chord symbols.  It helps for singers to have some skill at music reading, but it isn’t required.  We rehearse on Wednesday evenings at the chapel.  Please call to let us know you are coming.

Kidz Klub
We always need leaders and teachers for ministry to our children and youth.  If you have skills in this area and a desire to serve the Lord and the families of our North Walton community, this could be the ministry for you.
